Here at Wirly we are very neutral about tattoos and piercing.

Some people on our team (ok, ok, is not some peopleâ?¦is me) are tattooed and have a bunch of piercing. Some people in out team do not have even a single piercing, boring people? Not at allâ?¦are .We all very different and we mutually respect each others points of view. Sure I tried to take a couple of them to get at least a tinny piercingâ?¦.butâ?¦.nonononononoâ?¦

I decided to write a bit about few facts that you should know before getting a piercing doneâ?¦.

â?¢ Go to a reputable place that specializes in body piercing, stay away from those accessories stores in the mall that also do some piercing - the more experience the person doing the piercing has the less it will hurt.

â?¢ Check with your local health department for the names of any piercing parlous that have been cited for health violations in the past 6 months and stay away from those places. Consider asking for the names of the places which always pass - these are your best bets.

â?¢ Be sure that the person doing the piercing takes a new needle out of a sealed package - a reputable place will show you the sealed needle (which should be surgical grade) before hand. Shy away from places that clean their needles in an autoclave. It is OK if the piercing instrument is cleaned this way, but the needle should be brand new out of the package.

â?¢ Be sure that they clean the area to be pierced with hospital grade alcohol and/or iodine (which is brownish yellow in colour and looks a bit like blood) and that the ring is also cleaned with one of these medical grade disinfectants.

â?¢ Fallow the after care instructions really carefully.

â?¢ If the local where you got pierced get infected would be a good idea for you to go see a doctor, even if the doctor tells you that you have to remove the piercing stillâ?¦.your health is much more important than a piece of metal thru your bodyâ?¦

Iâ??m not telling you that I respected those 6 rules aboveâ?¦but Iâ??m telling you that if I did I would probably have had better experiences getting my 16 piercing done.
